| This is exactly what I needed: "Do not ever allow sadness to take such a hold of your spirit that it leads you to forget the joy of the resurrected Christ. We all long for God's paradise, but we all have the opportunity to find ourselves in it right here. We only need to be happy with Christ right here and now." --Mother Teresa of Calcutta | | |

| The weather has been so nice here lately. This morning, however, the sky looked UGLY. As I was driving to work it seemed that the closer I got, the harder the rain fell. So when I finally arrived at work it was pouring. I couldn't decide if I should wait for it to slack off before I got out of my car or just go for it. Well I saw my boss driving into the parking lot and decided to go for it since It was already past 8am. I was in such a hurry to get out of my car and get my umberella open that I forgot the delicious tea my husband so kindly made for me this morning in the car. By the time I made it to the office building I was very very wet. My shoes were soaked which meant cold feet and no hot tea to warm me up. Shortly after making it to my office the rain stopped...go figure. The weather has gotten progressively more beautiful as the day has gone by. I had to walk right across the street earlier this afternoon to deliver some papers and I had a very embarrassing moment. I am wearing a long but very flowing skirt and the wind was blowing like crazy. Put those two together and you have...well let's just say the guy walking out of the building got a show. I was/am so embarrassed. | | |
| Today it's 35 degress outside by feels like 26. I feel like I'm back in Kansas. When I was walking to the post office the wind almost blew me away......brrrrrr...I wish a had a space heater here. My toes feel like ice. I really like Valentine's Day. Even if you don't have a significant other, this can still and should be a fun day. I love the idea of having a day dedicated to showing the ones close to you that you love them. This day reminds me to spend extra time doing special things for or spedning time with the ones I love. I LOVE LOVE. Love is a beautiful thing...you can keep giving it away and you never run out! | | |
| I never check the weather in the morning. I simply assume that today will be like the day before...ridiculous, I know. I do however, do the window test. I put my hand on the window to see how cold it is outside. Yesterday was a lovely day. I wore a skirt and I didn't need a jacket. It was very nice. So today I decided to wear a skirt again. I did the window test and it seemed like a skirt would be an OK choice. At 10am every morning I have to walk a couple of blocks to the post office to get the mail for my boss. It's actually nice to get out of the office except for days like today. It's about 42 degrees but it feels like 35, it is raining, and to top it off...I'm wearing a skirt. Why, why am I not smarter. I involuntarily torture myself. When will I learn. So I'm going to try to start checking out the forecast before I dress for work. Oh, and I fell out of my chair today and it made quite a loud noise. I'm hurt only my ego. What's with today, today. | | |
